THAILAND - JULY 2011

Every one I met on my trip around south east Asia told me there was no surf in Thailand but Jimmy, James Pary and i made our way over to find out, we found otherwise!! Keep your eyes out for up coming issues of PLB to read the full story!  

 

LAOS - JUNE 2011

After our one month visa ran out in Indonesia Jimmy and I found ourselves with a month to kill before we had to be in Thailand, so we made the call to stray far from the surf and work our way through Loas, Cambodia. As we made our way through the picturesque mountains of Loas, we found adventures at every turn, native Paulownia plantations as far as the eye could see and even stumbled across Loas own unique form of river surfing!

 

MENTAWAI MAGIC... - JUNE 2011

After a couple of days in planes, airports, cheap motels and A short stay in west Samatra's largest city Padang, good mates Jimmy Weigall, Brendan Jenkins and myself jumped on a local ferry for the 10 hour ride to Indonesian surfing mecca the Mentawai Islands! Over our time in the picture perfect tropical paradise, we all made the most of the crystal clear water reef break barrels and surfed our day light hours away. The perfect start to my six month surfing adventure around Asia.
